- With use of HVAC Super Pro, aluminum can be bonded to copper, aluminum, or brass without heat or expensive crimping. HVAC Super Pro, a solderless liquid bonding material, will bond any combination of copper, aluminum, or brass. According to the manufacturer, in 12 minutes the bond will hold 850 psi, which makes it an excellent bonding material for installing and repairing HVAC systems, including 410 systems. A single bottle of the bonding material will make the same number of welds as 24 ounces of brazing rods at less than 50 percent of the cost of silver brazing rods, claims the company. The material is rated at -65° to 350°F, is compatible with all refrigerants and oils, and remains bonded through temperature cycles and vibrations associated with HVAC systems.
